About William

I believe that people should be able to do what they want and make a living doing it. Trouble is, I want to be a poet.

I was an English major, and even earned an Honorable Mention for the H Broadus Jones Shakespeare Prize at Wake Forest. I've studied poetry writing, creative non-fiction, and screenwriting and still do all of those things. I'm a media and communications professional who has advised big brands and small companies. I'm a startup founder with a dream for a more equitable future. I wrote my thesis on post-utopian fiction and argued that the corruption of the youth is the most effective means to implementing a totalitarian system, and, years later, I still edit it.

I like to read and write. I love when words work for readers. My first novel is in the works (slowly) and I have a couple scripts in the can. I once wrote a report that the CEO of a major telecom company quoted on CNBC. I'd be excited to write something for you, too.

I also believe that every person is imbued with the poetic instinct in childhood, and it would be cool to draw that back out.
